Connect Claude to your Facebook ads

Meta opened Facebook ads to Claude. Connect them once, about 10 minutes, and you can ask in plain English which ads are wasting your money. No more guessing your way around Ads Manager.

What changed

Your ad account can finally explain itself

In April 2026, Meta released an official connection that lets Claude read your Facebook and Instagram ad account. Once it's connected, you ask questions the way you'd ask a media buyer: which ads work, which waste money, what changed this week. Claude reads your real numbers and answers in plain language.

You've been paying for those numbers all along. This is the first time getting answers from them takes one sentence.

Before you start

You need 3 things

The setup

5 steps, about 10 minutes

  1. Open Connectors in ClaudeOn the web: click your initials, then Settings, then Connectors. On the desktop app: Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Add the Meta Ads connectorClick Add, then choose the option to add a custom connector. Paste this address: https://mcp.facebook.com/ads
  3. Sign in with FacebookA Facebook login window opens. Sign in like normal, with your 2 step code if you have one turned on.
  4. Choose your ad account and pick read onlyMeta asks which ad accounts Claude can see and how much it can do. Choose read only. Claude can see and explain everything, and it cannot touch your ads or your budget.
  5. Test itOpen a new chat and type: "Show me my Meta ad accounts." When your account comes back in the answer, you're connected.
Why read only matters

With full access, Claude can create campaigns and change budgets, which means it can spend real money. You don't need that to get the value. Keep it read only: Claude does the digging, you make the decisions. If you ever want it to make changes for you, you can upgrade the permission later, once you trust what it tells you.

3 prompts to copy

Ask your ads what they've been doing

01
The money waster check

The first question every ad account should answer. Claude names the ads spending the most for the least and tells you why.

Copy it.
Look at my Meta ads for the last 30 days. Which active ads spent the most with the weakest results? Explain in plain language what each one is doing wrong and what you would change first. Do not change anything. Just tell me.
02
The 2 minute report

Everything Ads Manager shows in 40 columns, written so you can read it with your coffee.

Copy it.
Write me a plain language report of my Meta ads for the last 30 days: what I spent, what I got for it, which ad performed best and your best explanation of why. Write it so a busy business owner can read it in 2 minutes.
03
The weekly check in

Run it every Monday. Claude compares this week to last week and flags the one thing worth your attention.

Copy it.
Compare my Meta ads this week to last week: spend, results, and cost per result. Flag anything that moved more than 20 percent, up or down, and tell me the single most important thing to look at this week. Keep it short.
